Christantus Uche Sparks Comfortable Crystal Palace Victory at Shelbourne.

Despite embarking on their first-ever continental campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning at a rapid pace. Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that all but guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further three points in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure straight entry to the last 16, particularly following a prior setback against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Seize the Moment

This occasion offered a platform for several Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.

Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.

A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
